Family Apple Picking at Lawrence Farms

October is the perfect time to visit one of Hudson Valley’s fine apple orchards. Lawrence Farms Orchard, located in Newburgh, offers a great variety including Empire, Cortland, Red and Golden Delicious, Ida Red,  and Northern Spy (just to name a few). WPSC families are invited to this group outing for $13.50 a family. Price includes admission, a pre-paid bag to fill with whatever combination of apple varieties you’d like, and a tractor ride! Families will meet in the parking lot no later than 9:45am to collect supplies and load up into the tractor. For free parking, show your military ID to the lot attendents. The orchard also features the Little Village play area for children, farm animals, a haybell maze, and train ride. Take advantage of the 10% off military discount in the farm store. Families must RSVP by Sept. 25th at 11:59pm. Tickets are non-refundable. Transferrable.
