Barre with Morgan

A 45 min barre class that focuses on high energy but small, low impact movement. While barre classes use methods, positions and concepts based off ballet, it is not a dance class and you don’t need any experience in dance to participate! Barre focuses on using repetitive small movements to fatigue multiple different muscles. In 45 minutes you will work abdominals, upper body, quads, hamstrings and glutes. You will also incorporate stretches after each muscle group to work on achieving long and lean muscles. Because everything in barre is low impact, it truly can be adapted for any level of fitness.
To participate you will need some sort of supportive surface to act as your “barre”, this can be a countertop, chair, high table etc. This will mostly be used to aid in balance. If you have light hand weights you would like to use, there is a section during warm up where those can be incorporated but aren’t necessary at all. There is some floor work so a towel or yoga mat might help with comfort.
